Tata Group Teams Up with Nvidia for AI Infrastructure Development
Tata Group and Nvidia have joined forces to create a groundbreaking AI supercomputer, aiming for top-tier performance in the global AI landscape. The two companies have announced their partnership to develop computing infrastructure and platforms for artificial intelligence solutions. This collaboration will democratize AI infrastructure access, advance AI solutions, and speed up AI talent development at scale.
The supercomputer will use Nvidia’s Grace Hopper Superchip, which is designed to accelerate the most complex AI and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads. The AI infrastructure will be leveraged by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to build and process generative AI applications, benefiting from Nvidia’s expertise.
The partnership also involves upskilling TCS’s vast workforce and driving AI transformation across various Tata Group businesses, from manufacturing to consumer sectors. This will provide critical infrastructure for AI-related tasks and create an AI cloud in India.
N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, highlighted the importance of AI in today’s world and expressed how this collaboration will transform the AI sector. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s recent meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi underscores India’s growing significance in the AI sector, with discussions coinciding with the G20 summit in New Delhi.
