Responsibilities:
As a Data Scientist at KPIT, you will take on the following responsibilities:
> Provide oversight and guidance to other data scientists/analysts on projects and ensure the quality of deliverables.
> Build methodologies and standards to prepare, extract, and analyze data from a variety of sources.
> Participate in all aspects of data-driven solution development, including requirements gathering, data acquisition, hypothesis generation, ideation, coding, testing, and deployment.
> Organize, manage, and analyze diverse and large datasets, identifying solutions and suggestions to help the team achieve its goals.
> Conduct open-ended data exploration to evaluate and solve business/science problems or create new opportunities.
> Communicate technical concepts to business, technical, and high-level audiences through data-driven presentations.
> Ensure timely project deliveries.
> Utilize a data science toolkit, including supervised and unsupervised machine learning models, reinforcement learning, and probabilistic models, along with data visualization techniques.
Must-Have Skills:
> To be successful in this role, you should have:
> A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Data Science.
> At least 4 years of experience in Python.
> Proficiency in tools like pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, pyspark, tensorflow, keras, etc.
> Hands-on experience with one of the following: Tableau, Power BI, Redash, Plotly.
> Experience working with Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Good To Have Skills:
These skills are considered advantageous:
> Experience working with various types of databases, including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured.
> Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
> Excellent communication and written skills.
> Familiarity with versioning tools (Git, SVN, etc.).
> Experience mentoring students is desirable.
> Knowledge of the latest developments in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Optimization in the Automotive domain.
> An open-minded approach to exploring multiple algorithms to design optimal solutions.
> A history of contributing to articles, blogs, whitepapers, etc., in Analytics.
> Contributions to Open Source projects, e.g., contributions to scikit-learn, pandas, etc.
