What you’ll do:

> Play a prominent technical role in analyzing multiple data sources to drive value for Luminate and other Data Ventures.
> Own a business problem and deliver end-to-end analysis by applying advanced Analytics on large volumes of data.
> Deliver actionable insights to stakeholders through rich visualization and presentation; Support the team in demonstrating to business stakeholders the value of the solution.
> Drive the creation and modifications of the product portfolio components, identify, and engage all technical resources necessary to contribute to the solution ensure the solution is consistent with Walmart architecture, design, and development standards.
> Experiment: This is a startup-like environment so everything can change as we experiment with doing more custom partnership work.
> Develop applications using industry best practices. Adjust and adopt new methodologies that provide the business with increased flexibility and agility.
> Follow industry best practices, stay current with the latest development tools, technology ideas, patterns, and methodologies; drive innovation by contributing towards publications and patents; share knowledge by clearly articulating results and ideas to key stakeholders.
> Participate in internal technical councils and represent the organization in forums that involve the community of data scientists and analysts across the industry and academia.
> Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
> Communicate complex models, analysis, and recommendations in a clear and precise manner.
> Manage priorities between research and deliverables effectively.

What you’ll bring:

> Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree with 3-6 years of experience in Computer Science, statistics, engineering, or a related field.
> Experience as a business/data analyst in e-commerce or retail.
> Experience with SQL-based querying languages (MS SQL, MY SQL, HIVE, BigQuery).
> Understanding of Big data and cloud Infrastructure (Hadoop, GCP & Azure).
> Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, etc.
> Exposure to Python/Pyspark.
> Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment and deliver results.
> Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
> Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in different time zones.
> Excellent critical thinking ability, result orientation, and project management skills.
